How roles and permissions work
Why users see different things in Check Now.
Every user has a role, and a role is a set of permissions. Users only see and do what their role allows.
Why roles, not individual settings
Setting permissions per role means you change access for everyone in that job at once, and new starters get the right access just by being given the role.
Web-admin vs mobile app
Admins plan and manage in the web-admin. Most staff only need the mobile app to complete checks, so give them a role with minimal web-admin access.
Teams and shifts
Teams group people who work together, and shifts show who is on when. These help you assign checks and send messages to the right group.
Deactivate, don't delete
Deactivating a leaver stops them signing in but keeps their history of completed checks, which you need for records.
